ECSA-C is looking for networking opportunities: Let's connect !

Director of Communications & Administration

Beate Schmidtke has been supporting ECSA-C in various roles over the past 20 years.  Starting in 2005/2007, Beate was instrumental in supporting the inception of the ECSA-C Young Researchers Network in her role as the manager for the Young Researchers projects that, at the time, were co-funded by several European Union grants. In 2007, she co-organized the trip of young researchers from Canada to the European University Institute in Florence for a two-day event. Over the years since then, in her role as the European Canada Network manager, Beate has led many activities supporting ECSA-C - creating a database for the association’s members, producing a video series with European Studies scholars in Canada, and recently leading the ECSA-Cn project. In 2021/22, Beate will help the ECSA-C to re-engage its community that - because of the global pandemic – had to cancel its 2020 Biennial Conference and could connect only virtually during the recent 2021 Biennial.
